mean season

Mean Season is one of the best bands, who played metalcore in the beginning of 90's. Their 7" released in 92 has made a huge push to the development of all the hardcore scene. As for me, the first song from the ep, called Faced With Pain is one of the best in the whole genre: mighty and filled with rage and some mystic, atmospheric melody makes the band one of the most outstanding between the bands of that time. Album, released in 94, differs by more solid sound and crushing sound. One of the special band's features is their tunefulness, where that shamanic singing of their vocalist fits the best. As well im veeeeeeery touched by the lyrics. I would like to highlight the songs Pilgrim and Numb Again, which has been recorded with a violine (but as for me, Faced With Pain will stay the paramount of their creativity). In addition I would say, that the 7" and LP were released at New Age Records and as for me Grace isn't worse than Life.Love.Regret.

Mean Season одна из лучшых групп которые играли металкор в начале 90-ых годов. Их семерка 92 года дала очень большое развитие всей хардкор сцене. Как по мне первая песня с семерки под названием Faced With Pain является одной из лучшых в жанре: мощная, в меру быстрая, исполненная с яростной подачей и какой-то мистической атмосферной мелодичностью показывает группу как один из самых оригинальных колективов того времени. Альбом, который вышел в 94 году отличается уже более плотным и качевым звуком. Одной из самых примечательных сторон группы есть именно их мелодичность в которую очень грамотно вписывается оригинальный мистический вокал. Так же мне очень нравятся текста группы – очееееень глубоко затрагивают. Из альбома я бы выделил песни Pilgrim и Numb Again которая записана со скрипкой (но для меня вершиной их творчества всегда будет Faced With Pain). Еще добавлю что семерка и ЛП выходили на New Age Records и на мой взгляд Grace ничем не уступает Life.Love.Regret.
